News | 30-10-10 English Liturgy at St Catherine the Great Martyr Church

On Saturday, October 30, 2010, Archimandrite Zacchaeus, Dean of St Catherine the Great Martyr Church celebrated the monthly English language Divine Liturgy at the parish. Concelebrating with Father Zacchaeus was Igumen Seraphim (Shemyatovsky), cleric of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of the Czech lands and Slovakia who is currently visiting Moscow.

Following the service, Father Zacchaeus preached a sermon on the Gospel reading and then welcomed the guest to the parish and explained to the faithful present that Father Seraphim, prior to being transferred to the Church of the Czech lands and Slovakia, served as Hierodeacon at St Catherine the Great Martyr Church – the Moscow Representative of the Orthodox Church in America in the 1990’s.
