| 28-05-04 First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad (ROCOR) meets with Representatives of the Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia and the Orthodox Church in America in Moscow
On Wednesday, May 27, 2004 on the eve of his departure from Russia, His Eminence, Metropolitan LAVR, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad (ROCOR) met with Protopresbyter Michael Dandar, the Representative of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia and Archimandrite Zacchaeus, the Representative of the Orthodox Church in America to the Moscow Patriarchate.
During the informal meeting His Eminence was presented with an oil painting of the Church of the Archangel Michael in Ladomirova, Slovakia, the place where His Eminence, Metropolitan LAVR was born and began his churchly service. His Eminence sincerely thanked Fathers Michael and Zacchaeus for this gift and expressed his desire to visit both Representation churches during his next visit to Moscow. In return the Representatives shared their feelings of joy in the fact that His Eminence made this historic visit to Moscow, and offered their prayers for His Eminence's health and safe return to his home in the United States.
