| 31-05-06 First Secretary and Consul of the US Embassy in Moscow visits St. Catherine the Great Martyr Church
On Wednesday, May 31, 2006 , Mr. Robert Hannan, the First Secretary and Consul of the US Embassy in Moscow visited St. Catherine the Great Martyr Church together with his wife, Mrs. Lorrie Hannan, also member of staff at the US Embassy.
The purpose of the visit was for Mr. Hannan whose diplomatic tour in Moscow is coming to an end, to bid farewell to parish Dean, Archimandrite Zacchaeus prior to his departure. Throughout the course of his time of service in Moscow , Mr. Hannan worked closely with the Moscow Representation of the Orthodox Church in America and served in building strong ties between the parish and the Embassy of the United States of America and it’s Consular Section in Moscow . Mr. Hannan and his family will be relocated to the US Embassy in Tanzania for further diplomatic work on behalf of the US State Department.
