The exhibition celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the first publication of the Bible by the Publishing Department of the Moscow Patriarchate and the 130th Anniversary of the first Synodal translation of the Bible in the Russian language.
The Exhibition, which enjoys the blessing of His Holiness, Patriarch ALEKSY II, was jointly sponsored by the Committee of the State Duma for the Works of Cultural and Religious Organizations and the Publishing Department of the Moscow Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church. Speakers during the exhibition’s Grand Opening included His Grace, Bishop SAVA of Krasnogorsk; the Deputy of the State Duma Lubov Sliska; and State Duma Deputies Sergei A. Popov, Alexander N. Krutov, and Sergei Glazev.
