On Wednesday, August 25, 2010, Mr. Mikhail A. Stolbov, the Head of the Yakimanka Municipal District of Moscow visited St Catherine the Great Martyr Church – the Moscow Representation of the Orthodox Church in America.
During the course of the visit to St Catherine the Great Martyr Church, Mikhail Arkadievich met with the Dean, Archimandrite Zacchaeus who shared information about desired parish renovation projects that require additional support from the local city government in order to be completed. After listening attentively with great interest, Mikhail Arkadievich offered his assistance in contacting those in authority who might be willing and able to help St Catherine the Great Martyr Church complex be restored to its original beauty and to offer support for the initiatives of the Parish Dean in undertaking these works for the good of the parish community.
In bidding the guest goodbye, Archimandrite Zacchaeus presented Mr. Stolbov with the newly published informational booklet about St Catherine the Great Martyr Church which was printed to commemorate the 40th year anniversary of the granting of Autocephaly to the Orthodox Church in America.
