| 25-08-06 Hierarch of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America visits St. Catherine the Great Martyr Church
On Thursday, August 24, 2006, His Grace, the Right Reverend MARK of Toledo and the Midwest of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America visited St. Catherine the Great Martyr Church – the Moscow Representation of the Orthodox Church in America. During his visit, Bishop MARK was given a tour of the church by parish Dean, Archimandrite Zacchaeus. His Grace is visiting the holy places of Russia on a personal pilgrimage together with Archpriest Thomas Zain of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Brooklyn, New York and his family.
Following his visit to St. Catherine Church, Bishop MARK visited the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra together with Father Zacchaeus and the accompanying delegation from the United States. The following day, the same group visited the holy places of Moscow, including Christ the Savior Cathedral, St. Daniel’s Monastery, the Tretyakov Gallery where they venerated the wonderworking Vladimir Icon of the Theotokos and the Donskoi Monastery where they were able to venerate and pray before the holy relics of St. Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow and Enlightener of North America.
