News | 02-03-06 Hierarchs of the Serbian Orthodox Church visit St. Catherine the Great Martyr church

On Thursday, March 2, 2006, His Eminence, Metropolitan AMPHILOCHIE of Montenegro and His Grace, Bishop IOANNIKI of the Serbian Orthodox Church visited St. Catherine the Great Martyr church. Accompanying the hierarchs were Archimandrite Antony, the Representative of the Serbian Orthodox Church to the Moscow Patriarchate, Archpriest Nicholas Balashov, the Secretary for Inter-Orthodox Relations of the Department of External Relations (DECR) of the Russian Orthodox Church and Hieromonk Mercury of the DECR.

During their brief visit, the hierarchs were given a tour of the parish by its Dean, Archimandrite Zacchaeus, during which they learned about the parish history and its present activities. The visiting Serbian hierarchs are scheduled to meet with His Holiness, Patriarch ALEKSY as well as representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation during their stay in Moscow.
