St. Seraphim of Sarov
His Beatitude, the Most Blessed Metropolitan HERMAN, Primate of the Orthodox Church in America joins His Holiness, Patriarch ALEKSY for the 100th anniversary of the canonization of St. Seraphim of Sarov. His Beatitude departed with His Holiness on a special train bound for Sarov today where both will participate in the festal celebrations over the next three days. The culmination of the celebrations will be the Divine Liturgy for the Feast of St. Seraphim on August 1.
Accompanying His Beatitude, Metropolitan HERMAN are: Chancellor of the Orthodox Church in America, Protopresbyter Robert Kondratick; Representative of the Orthodox Church in America to the Moscow Patriarchate, Archimandrite Zacchaeus; Editor of the Orthodox Church in America Newspaper, Archpriest Leonid Kishkovsky; and Assistant to the Chancellor for Communications, Mr. John Mindala.
