Archbishop JOB of Chicago and the Midwest

The parish community of St. Catherine the Great Martyr Church was very pleased to welcome in its midst His Eminence, Archbishop JOB for the Sunday Divine Liturgy on July 4, 2004. His Eminence prayed in the altar during the Divine Liturgy at which thirteen clergy concelebrated along with the parish Dean, Archimandrite Zacchaeus.

The visiting clergy were from the Bulgarian Representation church in Moscow, the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America, the monastery of Zographou on Mount Athos as well as local Russian Orthodox clergy from Moscow and Klin.

During the Liturgy, His Eminence offered a very lively homily during which he spoke of the need to renew our lives in Christ, in accordance with the Gospel teachings. Following the Divine Liturgy, Archimandrite Zacchaeus welcomed His Eminence to the parish on behalf of the clergy and laity. A luncheon was held in the Archbishop's honor.
