News | 28-02-06 Humanitarian aid donated to St. Catherine church to be distributed to the homeless in Moscow

On Tuesday, February 28, 2006, St. Catherine the Great Martyr church received a large amount of humanitarian aid in the form of dry and canned foods to be distributed to the homeless in Moscow through the parish’s outreach to the homeless program. The donations were collected by the International Women’s Club of Moscow whose members regularly visit the parish where they prepare hot meals to be distributed to the homeless of Moscow at various locations. The distribution of these newly collected food items will take place during the first week of Great Lent and will be coordinated by parishioner Mr. Namerud Negash, who heads up the parish outreach to the homeless program.
