| 27-05-08 International Cultural Public Figures visit St. Catherine the Great Martyr Church
On Tuesday, May 27, 2008, Archimandrite Zacchaeus, Representative of the Orthodox Church in America to the Moscow Patriarchate received cultural public figures from Macedonia, Serbia, and France at his working office at St. Catherine the Great Martyr Church.
The meeting, which was organized by the Senior Advisor to the Head of the Federal Agency for Culture and Cinematography of the Russian Federation, Mr. Boris V. Ivanov, took place in a spirit of mutual understanding and desire for cooperation in areas of different opinions. Among the many topics discussed was the situation with the All Church Canonical acceptance of the status of the Macedonian Orthodox Church as well as other issues related to contemporary Orthodoxy.
Among the participants in the discussions, in addition to Archimandrite Zacchaeus and Boris Vsevelodovich were the Head of the Macedonian State Committee for Macedonian/Russian Relations and Professor of Russian Language Dr. Chedomir Tsvetonovski; the Coordinator of the Serbian Diaspora in France, Poetess Danica Dana Dodic; the Columnist for the Publishing House “Literaturnaya Gazeta” and member of the Russian Union of Writers, Poet Sergei N. Gloviuk.
